Walking and cycling

It's easy to get around York by bike or on foot. It takes less than half an hour to walk from the centre of York to most major employers in the city and it’s even quicker to walk from one side of the city centre to the other.

Car clubs

If you only need the use of a car now and then, why not join York’s new Car Club? You can hire a car for as little as an hour at a time and prices start at around £5 per hour, with reduced rates for longer periods. Cars are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at eleven locations in the city.
